The project for the refurbishment and expansion of the FSM institute of Montescano is a large-scale project (over 15,000 square meters of refurbishment and almost 9,000 square meters of expansion) for the complete redevelopment of an existing building with works to be carried out contemporaneously with the hospital activity. The Scientific Institute of Montescano of the Salvatore Maugeri Foundation is an IRCCS qualified as a highly specialized national hospital with regard to rehabilitation medicine, and hosts a total of 276 beds accredited by the Lombardy Region within the NHS, of which 262 places ordinary hospital bed and 14 MAC technical beds.
The project developed has provided for the complete functional and technological reorganization of the historical complex and the realization of an extension of about 9,000 square meters, functionally connected to the existing one.
